Kristen Jaymes Stewart was born on April 9, 1990, in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in a family connected to the entertainment industry: her father worked as a stage manager and television producer, and her mother was a script supervisor. Stewart began acting as a child after being noticed in a school play, and she took on small screen roles before her teens.
Career
Stewart gained early recognition for her role as Jodie Foster's daughter in the thriller Panic Room (2002).
