James Rodriguez

James David Rodriguez Rubio is a Colombian professional footballer who plays primarily as an attacking midfielder and is widely regarded as one of the most technically gifted players of his generation. He rose to global prominence at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, where he finished as the tournament's top scorer, and he has represented several of Europe's leading clubs as well as the Colombia national team.

Early life

Rodriguez was born on 12 July 1991 in Cucuta, Colombia. He began his football development in Colombia, joining the youth ranks of Envigado, where he made his professional debut as a teenager. Career

Rodriguez moved to Argentine club Banfield, where he won a league title, before transferring to Porto in Portugal.
