Dax Shepard Teases Potential Role in Kristen Bell's 'Nobody Wants This'

Could we soon see Dax Shepard adding a touch of chaos to his wife Kristen Bell's Netflix series, Nobody Wants This? While we wait for details on the show's fourth season, it seems that things are heating up behind the scenes.

The Buzz About Dax's Possible Guest Appearance

On an episode of his Armchair Expert podcast, Dax got candid about the prospect of stepping into a guest role on his wife's hit show. Chatting with the show's creator Sara Foster and executive producer Erin Foster, Dax teased that the team was already considering writing him into Season 4. Discussion turned playful as he jokingly suggested he should come in and "f*ck this whole perfect party up" — sounds like a typical Dax move!

Erin chimed in with exciting news, revealing that the writers had actually been brainstorming concepts for a role that could be tailor-made for Dax. "We have an idea that was formed a few weeks ago. We put your name on the board, thinking about it," she said. It sounds like this potential role could take an interesting turn into something even bigger than initially anticipated.

Dax's Acting Hiatus and Recent Comeback

This chatter about Dax’s return to acting comes after a significant hiatus — he hadn’t performed on screen for six years until recently. He will star in the upcoming Apple TV series Bad Monkey, and the experience reawakened his enthusiasm for acting. Dax explained, "If you had asked me last year, I would have said no... then I ended up loving it." That seems like a promising sign for fans eagerly hoping to see him alongside Kristen.

Could He Really Join the Cast?

While there haven’t been any official confirmations about Dax’s guest appearance, the duo’s dynamic could bring a fresh twist to Nobody Wants This. With Kristen already shining in roles like her upcoming venture where she joins the cast of Violent Night 2, the combo of these two on screen could be downright delightful. And let’s not forget about Kristen’s knack for musical performances—if Dax joins, might we get a little duet?

We know that Leighton Meester, Adam Brody's wife and also a co-star, has made a guest appearance in the past. So, it would certainly fit the playful vibe of the series to have Dax shake things up as well.

Waiting for the Green Light

At this moment, Netflix has yet to officially greenlight Season 4 of Nobody Wants This, but with the excitement from both the producers and Dax, it seems we're on the brink of something great. Fans are surely hoping Kristen will join forces with Dax for a few creative on-screen moments that could lead to laugh-out-loud hijinks.

Until then, the anticipation builds! We may not have seen Dax on our screens lately, but with the potential of those clever writers and his wife beside him, it sounds like Nobody Wants This may have a very exciting fourth season ahead.
