Nicholas Hoult

Nicholas Hoult is an English actor who rose to prominence as a child performer and has since built a varied career across blockbuster franchises, prestige films and acclaimed television. He is known for combining commercial roles with character-driven work in independent and period projects.

Early life

Hoult was born on December 7, 1989, in Wokingham, Berkshire, England. He began acting as a young child, taking small parts in film and television before his breakthrough. Coming from a family with connections to the performing arts, he pursued acting from an early age and balanced his early career with schooling.

Career

Hoult achieved early fame at the age of around twelve playing Marcus opposite Hugh Grant in the film "About a Boy" (2002), a role that drew critical attention.
