Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos is an American entrepreneur and business magnate best known for founding Amazon, the company that helped transform global retail and cloud computing. Over three decades he built a small online bookseller into one of the world's largest and most influential corporations, becoming in the process one of the wealthiest people alive.

Early Life and Education

Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1964, Bezos showed an early aptitude for science and tinkering, spending childhood summers on his grandfather's ranch in Texas. He studied electrical engineering and computer science at Princeton University, graduating with distinction. After college he worked on Wall Street, where he rose quickly at a quantitative hedge fund.
