Eric Schmidt

Eric Schmidt is an American businessman, software engineer and technology executive best known for leading Google as its chief executive officer during a period of rapid growth that transformed the company into one of the world's most powerful corporations. A trained computer scientist, he brought managerial experience to a young company founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin and later served as executive chairman as the business reorganized under the parent company Alphabet.

Early life

Schmidt was born on April 27, 1955, in Washington, D.C.
