Colin Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick is an American former professional football quarterback and civil-rights activist. Early life

Colin Rand Kaepernick was born on November 3, 1987, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was adopted as an infant and raised in California. A standout multi-sport athlete in high school, he excelled at football, baseball, and basketball. He accepted a football scholarship to the University of Nevada, Reno, where he became one of the most productive dual-threat quarterbacks in college football history, combining passing ability with mobility.

Career

The San Francisco 49ers selected Kaepernick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
