Jimmy Kimmel is cheering Guillermo Rodriguez from the sidelines after his 'Dancing With the Stars' elimination — and making it clear he won't be next.

Jimmy Kimmel on Guillermo's DWTS Run: Proud — But Don't Ask Him to Dance

If you were hoping to see Jimmy Kimmel bust out a salsa on Dancing With the Stars sometime soon, go ahead and scratch that off your bingo card. The late-night host is firmly, enthusiastically, and repeatedly a "no" on that front — even as he celebrated his beloved sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez's stint in the ballroom with genuine warmth.

Kimmel's Verdict on the Ballroom? Hard Pass

When asked point-blank whether he'd ever consider competing on DWTS, Kimmel didn't hesitate. According to Page Six, who caught up with him at the LA Loves Alex's Lemonade Stand event in Los Angeles, the 58-year-old delivered a swift, emphatic "No, no, no" before adding, simply, "I would not." Honestly, the energy of a man who has thought about this before and arrived at a very clear conclusion.

For fans who follow Jimmy Kimmel Live! closely — and there are plenty, given the show's knack for buzzy guest moments like Jacob Elordi talking Euphoria's wildest scenes — Kimmel's comic timing is always sharp. But apparently that talent stops at the dance floor.

All the Pride for Guillermo, Though

While Kimmel is keeping his own two left feet safely off-camera, he had nothing but love for Rodriguez, his Jimmy Kimmel Live! sidekick who was eliminated during Week 5 of the current DWTS season. The two have shared the late-night stage for years, and the bond clearly runs deep.

"I've never seen him work harder at anything. Or I've never even seen him work hard before," Kimmel quipped — which, knowing their playful dynamic, reads as equal parts roast and genuine compliment. He also called watching Rodriguez compete "exciting," and said he was "very proud" of the whole experience.

Rodriguez, 55, was paired with pro dancer Witney Carson — who is currently pregnant with her third child — and the duo made it to the show's first-ever "Super Bowl Night" on October 13th before being sent home. Their salsa to Bad Bunny's "Tití Me Preguntó" earned a combined score of 22 out of 40 from the judging panel of Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli, and guest judge Joe Buck, landing them at the bottom of the leaderboard.

After his elimination, Rodriguez kept it warm and gracious, saying he had "a lot of fun" and thanking Carson for teaching him to dance. Carson, for her part, praised him for making the season joyful and for being considerate of her throughout filming — a sweet sendoff for a fan-favorite pair.

A Night With a Much Bigger Purpose

The DWTS chat was really just a sidebar to what brought Kimmel out that Saturday. He was attending the LA Loves Alex's Lemonade Stand event, a fundraiser tied to the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, which channels money toward childhood cancer research. Kimmel's support for the cause is deeply personal — his son Billy, now 9, was born with a congenital heart condition and has undergone multiple surgeries over the years.

The good news? Kimmel shared that Billy is currently "doing great" and was off enjoying a cousin's birthday party at the time of the interview. It's the kind of update that's genuinely heartwarming to hear from someone who has been so open about his family's journey.

Kimmel described the foundation as an organization that "really does a lot to help those kids and their parents," adding that "there's nothing more important than that." Given everything his own family has navigated, it tracks that this is a cause he keeps showing up for, year after year.

Keep Watching DWTS — Just Not Kimmel On It

New episodes of Dancing With the Stars continue airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. Eastern on ABC and Disney+, with episodes streaming on Hulu the following day. And while Kimmel may be a permanent fixture on late-night — check out some of his show's recent highlights, including Glen Powell stopping by with brisket and big news — the ballroom is simply not his stage. And honestly? We respect the self-awareness.
