Dana White: Bored With Hearn Feud But Credits For UK Venue

Dana White acknowledges Eddie Hearn's efforts in securing the Fury-Joshua fight in the UK but expresses boredom with their ongoing feud.

Dana White has shifted focus back to boxing's heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, crediting Eddie Hearn for securing the venue in the UK. However, the UFC president and Zuffa Boxing head made it clear he’s "bored" with the feud that has played out between the two promoters.
The Venue Lockdown
The highly anticipated bout is set for December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Despite the push from Saudi Arabian promoters and White's desire to stage it at Madison Square Garden in New York, Hearn and Joshua have remained steadfast in their contractual rights, insisting on keeping the fight in the UK.
White recognized Hearn's efforts during his appearance on the 5 Live Boxing with Bunce podcast, stating, "You've got to give credit to Eddie for really grinding that and making sure that it happened in the UK."
Disputes and Dynamics
Although the fight's location is confirmed, skepticism surrounded White's role in the promotion. The event will mark a collaboration with Saudi's Turki Alalshikh's The Ring, where White will share the spotlight with well-established promoters like Frank Warren and Hearn. Hearn has been vocal about White's involvement, stating, "That ain't happening," resulting in ongoing tension between the two.
Despite the public feud, a recent news conference featuring Fury and Joshua on September 30 seems to have calmed worries about the event's execution. White, although not present at the conference, stated that he and his team would be handling the production on fight night as one of the promoters.
Moving Past the Back-and-Forth
In his latest remarks, White made it clear he believes the focus should be on the fighters, not the back-and-forth antics between him and Hearn. "I'm actually bored with this now. Who cares?" he commented. "This isn't about me and Eddie Hearn. It's an Eddie show, not a Dana and Eddie show. This is about AJ and Fury. It's been all the Eddie show."
Ticket Demand Surges
The buzz surrounding the Fury-Joshua clash has already proven immense, with tickets priced up to £13,000 selling out in just an hour. The Principality Stadium may even remain open until 3:30 am for this blockbuster showdown, signaling that the public is eager to witness one of boxing's biggest events in years.
As the fight draws closer, all eyes remain on these heavyweight titans. Will the drama off the ring continue, or will the excitement ultimately shift back to the fighters? For now, fans can’t wait to see Fury and Joshua square off, a clash that promises to be a landmark moment in boxing.
