Torger Christian "Toto" Wolff is an Austrian motorsport executive and former racing driver who serves as team principal and chief executive of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team. Under his leadership the team became one of the most successful in the history of the championship.
Early life
Wolff was born on January 12, 1972, in Vienna, Austria. He competed as a racing driver in his early career, taking part in events including the Austrian and German Formula Ford championships and later sports car and GT racing. After his driving career, he moved into business and investment, building experience in finance that he would later apply to motorsport ownership and management.
Career
Wolff developed interests in motorsport teams and suppliers as an investor before taking an executive role in Formula One.
