Casey Neistat

Casey Neistat is an American filmmaker, YouTube personality and entrepreneur who became one of the most influential figures in online video. He is best known for a fast-paced, cinematic vlogging style that helped shape the daily-vlog format and inspired a generation of digital creators.

Early life

Casey Owen Neistat was born on March 25, 1981, in Gales Ferry, Connecticut. He left high school and home as a teenager, and for a period lived in difficult circumstances while raising a young son. He eventually moved to New York City, where he began making short films alongside his brother Van Neistat, developing the resourceful, do-it-yourself filmmaking approach that would define his work.

Career
