Sporting a handicap of 10, he reminisced about the times when he played more frequently, noting a dip in his game due to his hectic schedule this year.

"I loved it. To play this course in tournament conditions, especially ahead of the AIG Women’s Open, was just an incredible experience," Horan said. Although he recognized that his recent golf outings were limited, he still managed to create memorable moments on this iconic course.

Balancing Act: Music and Golf

With the release of his fourth studio album, Dinner Party, on June 5, Horan's focus has been on promoting his new music rather than hitting the greens. The strain of balancing the demands of an album launch with his love for golf becomes evident as he mentions, "I’ve probably played six rounds this year, which is not a lot for my handicap."

Horan is all too aware of how quickly time flies when you’re caught up in the whirlwind of the music world. However, he remains optimistic about getting back into the swing of things, both in music and golf. "I can either shoot six or seven over or I can shoot mid-eighties - it’s a tough one for me to get into," he shared during his chat with Sky Sports.

Looking forward to his "Dinner Party Live On Tour" concerts starting September 22, Horan is strategizing how to fit more golf into his busy schedule. The tour will sweep through various cities in the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe before heading to Australia and North America. Horan plans to prioritize golf on his days off, scouting for courses along the way.

"I know what my days look like, and it’s all planned out," he explained. The pop star is eager to revisit courses in Australia, expressing interest in popular locations like Kingston Heath, and is also contemplating golf outings during his time in the US.

Beyond his personal pursuits, Horan is a dedicated supporter of the sport. As an R&A ambassador and founder of Modest! Golf, he champions the growth of golf at all levels. "It’s just massive and rightly so because the quality of golf has never been better in the women’s game," he noted, pleased to see the sport receiving the recognition it deserves.
