Kourtney Kardashian Drawn Into Shanna Moakler's New Memoir Drama

Shanna Moakler's upcoming memoir carries a Blink-182-inspired title — and hints at untold stories involving Kourtney Kardashian.

Shanna Moakler is stepping into her storytelling era, and it sounds like Kourtney Kardashian may end up with more than a passing mention. The former beauty queen's newly announced memoir is already turning heads — starting with its very pointed title.
A Title That Says It All
Moakler, 51, revealed on Instagram that her self-published memoir will be called Blink of an Eye — a name that's hard to read as anything other than a nod to her ex-husband Travis Barker's iconic band, Blink-182. According to Page Six, the model and mother of three explained the title with a heartfelt message about resilience: "Life can change, in the 'Blink of an Eye.' Hopefully my reality, reinvention and surviving some rough waters can make your journey a little easier."
She also made it clear that the book is meant to be bigger than any one relationship or chapter of her past. "I'm excited. I'm working hard. But mostly, I'm ready to share my story. With insight, support and love to girls and moms everywhere," she wrote. The project replaces an earlier working title, "Queen Risen," which she had quietly floated before deleting that post.
The Kourtney Connection
The memoir announcement comes on the heels of a social media moment that got people talking. Earlier this month, Moakler reacted to footage from the Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear documentary premiere — where Barker, 50, appeared alongside his current wife Kourtney Kardashian and their shared kids. Notably absent were Kourtney's three children with ex Scott Disick — Mason, 16, Penelope, 14, and Reign, 11 — as well as Kourtney and Travis's two-year-old son, Rocky.
Moakler posted a pointed question — "Where are her children?" — on TikTok before deleting it. She later downplayed the comment, telling the Daily Mail, "Honestly, there's no major story here. I post and delete things on social media all the time." But she also teased that the full picture will eventually emerge through her book. "In due time, I'll be sharing my story in my own words through my book, and I'm looking forward to that," she said. You can get a sense of how Shanna Moakler has handled these moments publicly in the past.
Family, Legacy, and Moving Forward
Moakler and Barker were married from October 2004 to February 2008 and share son Landon, 22, and daughter Alabama, 20. Barker also helped raise Moakler's eldest daughter, Atiana, 27, from her relationship with boxer Oscar De La Hoya. Despite the split and several attempts to rekindle things post-divorce, the two have clearly taken very different paths — Barker, of course, going on to marry Kourtney Kardashian. Travis has even joked about his own role in the Kardashian world, calling himself something of an "accessory" on the family's hit show.
A Book About Womanhood — Not Grudges
To her credit, Moakler is framing Blink of an Eye as a celebration of women's strength rather than a score-settling exercise. "From a small child with big dreams, to co-parenting my children in today's celeb-obsessed climate," she wrote, the memoir is about the full arc of a life — complete with reinvention, rough patches, and the wisdom that comes after. Whether or not readers will get the Kardashian details they're curious about remains to be seen, but Moakler's promise to tell her story "her way" suggests she's not holding much back.
For fans who've followed this blended-family dynamic over the years, the book is shaping up to be a genuinely compelling read.
