Karol G, Judeline, and rusowsky's collab hits No. 1 on Latin Airplay while rewriting the global record books for Spanish-act dominance.

Karol G's 'BbY WOW' Dominates Airwaves With Historic Chart Run

Karol G has a habit of turning chart moments into full-blown milestones, and "BbY WOW" — her slick, sun-drenched collaboration with Spanish duo Judeline and rusowsky — is doing exactly that. The track just bulldozed its way to No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart, extending what is already one of the most remarkable runs in recent Latin music history.

A Latin Radio Crown Eight Weeks in the Making

After spending eight weeks (and counting) locked in at the top of Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart, "BbY WOW" has now conquered Latin radio as well, vaulting from No. 2 to No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart dated October 17, according to Billboard. During the tracking week ending October 8, the song pulled in 7.9 million audience impressions across the United States — a 13% surge that was enough to bump Omar Courtz's "KOKO" down to No. 3 after its own 12% dip to 6.5 million impressions.

For Judeline and rusowsky, this is entirely new territory: their very first Latin Airplay No. 1. For Karol G, it's a different kind of landmark — her 22nd chart-topper on the overall Latin radio ranking, a number that places her as the woman with the second-most leaders in the chart's history, sitting just behind Shakira's 25.

Spain Plants Its Flag on Latin Radio

"BbY WOW" also marks something broader for the Spanish music scene. It's the first song billed to a Spanish act to reach No. 1 on the overall Latin Airplay chart in more than a year, since Quevedo and Myke Towers shared the crown with "Soleao" for a single week in August 2025. Before that, notable Spanish victories on the tally included Quevedo's four-week stretch with Bizarrap's "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52" in 2022, as well as Rosalía's one-week reigns that same year with both "La Fama" (featuring The Weeknd) and "Despechá."

It's a reminder that while Latin music's center of gravity often tilts toward Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Mexico, Spain keeps finding its way back to the summit.

Global Numbers That Demand Attention

Zoom out from radio and the picture gets even bigger. "BbY WOW" bounced back from No. 3 to reclaim No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, fueled by 46.2 million streams and 1,000 units sold in the tracking period. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, it climbed 2-1 with 34.4 million streams, signaling that international appetite for the track is nowhere near exhausted.

That fifth week at the top of the Global 200 is now historically significant. The song has broken a tie with Bizarrap and Quevedo's "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52" to claim the longest run at No. 1 for any song billed to a Spanish act since the Global 200 launched in late 2020. The only Spanish-language track ahead of it? Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma's massive "Ella Baila Sola," which sat at No. 1 for six weeks in 2023.

Karol G's Relentless Momentum

None of this should come as a shock to anyone who has been tracking Karol G's trajectory. Her Tropitour has already signaled an exciting new musical direction, and the unveiling of her new album 'No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto' suggests she's building toward something even larger. Even live, she keeps the energy electric — dropping bold new material like 'Matadora' from the very first night of the Tropitour, proving that the studio heat translates seamlessly to the stage.

With "BbY WOW" still climbing and an album on the horizon, Karol G is not slowing down. She's just getting started.
