Ed Sheeran Welcomes New Opening Acts for Loop Tour Finale

Ed Sheeran is cranking up the energy as he gears up for the remaining U.S. shows on his electrifying Loop Tour. In a surprising twist, he has welcomed two new acts to join him for what promises to be a memorable finale to this leg of the tour. Fresh talent is set to light up the stage, bringing a wave of excitement just as the tour builds toward its climax.

A Shift in the Lineup

After a wave of controversy led to the departure of his original supporting acts, including Macklemore, Sheeran was left momentarily solo. Macklemore's pro-Palestine remarks during performances in New Jersey sparked a collective exit from the remaining acts, leaving the Grammy winner to perform by himself in Philadelphia. But Ed isn't one to let a setback dampen his rhythm. He quickly tapped Isaac Slade, the former frontman of The Fray, to take the stage as his opening act for the recent Atlanta shows. Fans were thrilled to see Slade step back into the spotlight, especially following his band’s history of hits that have defined the pop-rock scene.

New Voices Join the Tour

Following his debut performance, Slade will continue to open for Sheeran throughout the remaining U.S. dates. Just a week away from the next performance in Indianapolis, the anticipation is building. Slade took to Instagram to express his excitement, stating, "This is my first show since American Idol, and it’s at Lucas Oil Stadium opening for @teddysphotos. I’m beyond excited and grateful. See you Saturday!"

In addition to Slade, fans can also look forward to the energetic Brooks Rosser, a standout from the latest season of American Idol. Rosser is set to perform in Indianapolis, marking his return to the stage as well. His energy and youthful talent are sure to get the crowd pumped before Sheeran takes the spotlight for his well-loved hits.

What’s Next for Ed

Sheeran’s looped journey in the U.S. sees him scheduled for multiple dates across the country. After Indianapolis, he will head to Charlotte, Arlington, and Tampa, with casino shows in Hollywood, Florida, on the horizon as well. These unique performances, albeit without openers, will surely draw dedicated fans eager to experience Ed's magic. This tour adds another layer to the Loop Tour's narrative, one that has already captured the hearts of audiences everywhere.
